When you can’t make it all the way to Italy to celebrate, you bring the Italian dinner party to you! I have always been inspired by the country of Italy and have been dying to design a party that incorporated lemons, fresh herbs, and the classic blue spode Italian china. I threw a dinner party to celebrate the two year anniversary of my sister business Elopement Las Vegas and invited all of the gals that work for me as well as our vendors partners as a way to say thank you to everyone.
I chose Ventanos restaurant in Henderson because of its outdoor patio, panoramic view of the strip, and it’s delicious menu options! In case you were wondering where the term al fresco comes from, its actually an italian term and when loosely translated it means “in fresh air.”
Each individual place setting had a rustic natural charger topped with a custom menu, blue textured napkin, mixed etched glassware, and personalized calligraphy lemon place cards. The calligraphy on the lemons was actually a vinyl sticker.
The al fresco outdoor dinner setting had an elaborate tablescape I designed with candles, crossback chairs, lemon inspired flower arrangements, mixed greenery, and potted herbs that the guests could take home. Since it was such an intimate dinner setting I really got to focus on designing the small details and I got to spend some quality time with the people I love most in this industry!
