covering the basics

frequently asked

1. What typically happens at the beginning of the process when someone contacts you?

As soon as a potential client contacts us via email or phone we of course first congratulate them on their engagement! I try to get to know the couple’s story and make a personal connection before discussing services and pricing. I think it is imperative for both the wedding planner and couple to feel comfortable with each other before even considering working together. I then will ask a number of questions pertaining to their wedding ( guest count, budget, vision, etc) before sending over a proposal with pricing.

2. Why do couples love working with you?

Our couples love working with us because they know they can trust us with the biggest day of they life. We understand that weddings are serious but we also don’t take ourselves too seriously. We believe that the wedding planning process should be a fun and enjoyable experience. The process really does fly by quickly so I try to ensure that my clients are able to take it all in and make things exciting and stress free.

3. I don't live in Las Vegas, can we still work together?

I love my destination couples! I would actually say about 40% of my couples are either from out of state or out of the country. Some couples I don’t even meet in person until the day before their wedding. The planning process usually begins with a Skype or FaceTime consultation so we can get to know each other and put faces to the names. One of the hardest things for the couple to deal with is not seeing their venue sometimes until right before the wedding. In order to help with this I will take videos or Skype them while I am on a venue tour. I find lots of photos and videos go a long way ! Communication and trust is also key when you are planning from afar, I highly recommend any couple hiring a wedding planner prior to meeting them in person really put all their trust in the planner and their abilities.

4. I have a small budget, Will I still be able to hire a wedding planner?

If you have a smaller wedding budget our wedding day management (aka day of coordination) services may suit you best. Although we try to work with most budgets our clientele averages a budget of $50,000 -$125,000.

5. What types of weddings do you specialize in?

We specialize in weddings for couple’s who are looking to have a world class celebration in Las Vegas, Nevada. They are creative and unique. They want the wedding to be a reflection of their style and are not afraid to do something different. As most people already know, Las Vegas is known as the wedding capital of the world. Whether you are looking to have a spur-of-the-moment small, intimate celebration or an extravagant, elegant destination wedding we have plenty of creative ideas to make your day memorable.

6. How does the wedding planning process work?

I try to break my wedding planning process into phases. I think breaking the planning up into manageable chunks helps the couple truly enjoy the process and it helps relieve stress. I often give them weekly or monthly todo’s that they can check off. Trying to do everything at once is stressful and certainly not enjoyable! My favorite moments are always when the couple and I have a moment at their wedding reception and they pull me aside to express how the wedding turned out better than they could have imagined. I love seeing my couples dreams come to life!

7. Where have you been featured?

Wedding Wire, The Knot, Swooned, 100 Layer Cake, Wedding Chicks, Ruffled, Inspired by This, Honeyfund, Aisle Perfect, Loverly, Grey Likes Weddings , Adorn, and many more!

8. I already have a catering manager/ venue coordinator, why do I need to hire a wedding planner?

First off, we love working with venue coordinators! Most of the time their job is to oversee the wedding details that directly relate to the venue itself (Food & Beverage, the venue’s staff, etc) A lot of the time they even leave right after dinner begins. We offer a personalized service and are with you every step of the way during the wedding planning process.

9. Do you get a commission from other vendors?

We absolutely never receive commission checks from vendors for referrals. We believe in being transparent with our couples and only recommend vendors based on past experience with them. We always try to recommend vendors that will meet our clients vision and budget. Clients are never forced to go through our preferred list of vendors.

10. How long will you be there on our wedding day?

We are typically there from the first delivery to the end of the reception. We do not have a set number of hours but usually work around 12-16 hours.

11. Why do you have to know my budget on our first consultation?

This is often one of the first questions we ask potential clients during consultations. This is certainly not meant to be impolite but the truth is we NEED this information to ensure your vision is practical and that your budget is realistic with your expectations. After you begin working us we will provide you with a breakdown of how the money will be allocated. We also may be able to come up with creative ways to save money along the way.

12. Are you available for travel?

We are and we do! We are primarily based in Las Vegas but love to work in other cities. Please inquire for availability, typically additional fee’s will apply.

13. How much do you cost?

All of our pricing is customized to fit your needs. After our initial consultation we will send you a proposal via email. Click HERE for more information on the different wedding & event planning services we offer.

14. Do you take on more than one event per day?

Our number one priority is always you the client. We fully respect your time and your special day and never take on more than one event per day.
